wave. is a streetwear apparel brand focused on highlighting design itself. wave. creates entire product lines under one unified design aesthetic, rather that the disconnected products of other streetwear brands, ensuring that all products within each line can be matched to one another.
wave. came from a place of pure passion — from always wanting to create clothing designs — so I did! One night I started sketching designs for this brand, which eventually launched in February of 2020. Our second product line, summerheat., launched in the summer of 2021 as wave.'s newest addition.
As an entirely solo endeavor, wave. is my creative outlet to express myself through clothing design and to push myself creatively to the best of my abilities. It has also taught me to be a self-starter, and to do things for myself — purely for the love of it all.
Our website. Currently on standby at shopwaveco.com.
Our first product line came in February of 2020 and is called wave. launch. This product line focused heavily on blue colors to establish the brand look for wave., which sports a simplified wave icon as its main logo colored in a light blue. Along with this, I built our Shopify site where all our products would be housed and available for purchase. This initial launch was made up of about 13 products, across shirts, hats, outerwear, and accessories, in unisex sizes and different colors. Lastly, I started our social media channels on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to begin establishing our online presence.

From the one year in between our initial wave. launch in 2020 to 2021, my design skills improved immensely. summerheat., which began its life as a SCAD project, became our next product line, and showcased my recent growth as a designer. Launching in July of 2021, summerheat. was of course focused on the season with high temperatures and cool vibes.
The six color blocks from our summerheat. color pallet.
Sunshine (yellow), Solar Orange, Heatwave (red), Bloom (pink), Poolside (blue), and Clear Sky (grey).
At the heart of this product line is our six-color pallet. Our six chosen colors allowed customers to pick their favorite hue from the lineup which included a warm red, orange, and yellow, as well as a cool blue and pink. Lastly, a neutral grey was included to represent the clouds that dotted the summer sky. These colors would be the hues our products were available in, as well as becoming a line pattern when put together for some of our other designs.
Along with this thematic treatment, the wave. logo also underwent a variation for this release, adding a flame icon to represent the summerheat. line as a whole. Lastly, our mascot, Matsuno Yuki, was introduced and given a design all to herself, breathing some life and character into the brand.
The flagship product for our summerheat. product line, our wave. waifu tee, featuring our mascot, Matsuno Yuki.
Some supplementary products for our summerheat. product line: a lookbook and a shoebox.
Each branded with summerheat.'s warm, six-color palette.
Now, wave. stands in wait for me to have the time necessary to return to my passion project with a wealth of ideas for a new product line. And with more years of design experience under my belt, the next wave. drop will be nothing like the rest.
