Creating the brand campaign for a startup revolutionizing the world of ecommerce videos.
Brand Campaign, Branding & Identity, Graphic Design
COTU is a startup revolutionizing the analytics of video data and ushering in the world of interactive video. With their platform and tools, brands are able to easily include clickable links in their videos and gauge new analytics, such as watch time, product views, product engagement, click throughs, and more.
With a need to establish themselves on their social media channels, the COTU team came to Evron, our revenue engineering agency, to put together a brand campaign that would communicate the benefits and use cases of their service.
A quick look at some of the work completed for COTU's brand campaign.
Before our partnership, the style of COTU's branding materials were one note and unimaginative. They were but another company in the sea of SaaS offerings with the same repetitive style.
As the Graphic Designer of Evron, it is my goal to create brand refreshes and packages for our clients that reposition or propel them further within their industry. To do this, I must create pieces of design that fit within the box of what their company is now, while also surpassing any previous notions of what their current branding is or could be.
For a startup like COTU, I knew they needed a visual direction just as bold and daring as they were.
By working one on one with COTU CEO Richard Baugh, we were able to come up with a vision statement for what he wanted COTU to become:
"To be the global leader in dynamic video viewing experiences that gives brands the power to evaluate real time consumer intent."
Three posts created for COTU's LinkedIn page.
With this in mind, I was able to work towards this vision by developing a stand out style for this stand out startup. With the use of high quality images and a modern and sleek style, COTU could steal the eyes of those scrolling to inform them of their unique service and the benefits of using it. This ranged from gaining new customers through video, making a sale directly in the video player, the ease of their UI, finally being able to measure return-on-investment in video, and much more.
I was also able to include elements of their UI into these images, serving as visual motifs that could tie one post to the next. These included their interactive product cards, analytics, video timeline, and their four-cornered open box.
Three more posts created for COTU's LinkedIn page.
The vast variety of images used directly correlated to their service's wide amount of use cases, from industries such as automotive, fashion, ecommerce, food service, entertainment, and so much more.
We were able to communicate the use cases of COTU through a series of content posts under the umbrella title of "Interactive Video Helps You". This series of posts instantly simplified the benefits of COTU in a straightforward and digestible way. You can explore some of the use cases we highlighted in this series below.

Six posts created for COTU's LinkedIn page.
Through this brand campaign, COTU became a startup with a clear vision and the visual direction needed to support it. Their LinkedIn page went from dormant to lively, and we were able to use visuals from this campaign as advertisements, taking their inbound demos that month from zero to thirteen, new, potential clients. Lastly, we were able to clearly communicate the benefits and use cases of COTU, shorting their client acquisition time for good.
If you use video to market your business, COTU became the tool to use to gain so much more out of it, and I am glad to have had such a large part in building their brand image.
